Passion Pitの新作アルバムからの先行シングル「Lifted Up (1985)」が素晴らしいので和訳してみました。初めてなので変なところもあるかと思います。。（4/4和訳の内容を一部訂正しました。）
この曲はボーカルのマイケル・アンジェラコスが自身の双極性障害を乗り越えて結婚した妻へのラブレターだとのことです。

追記：最初に訳した時は時制が曖昧で今主人公がどういう状態なのかよく分からなかったのですが、友達と話し合ってある程度理解しました。主題としては、彼が病気と戦っていた時の事を語っていて、「One day you came out of nowhere（彼女が現れた）」ことで救われたということを示しているのだと思います。「1985 Was a good year」から始まるサビ部分は最初今のことを語っているのかと思っていたのですが、全て過去形で語られているので考え直しました。多分彼は彼女と出会ったことを運命的なものだと感じていて、彼女が生まれた1985年に彼が天へと飛び立って彼女を地上に引き下ろしたんだと考えているのだと思います。訳してみる前から素晴らしい曲だとは思っていたのですが、こうして歌詞の意味を考えていくとロマンチックで本当に美しくてより好きになりました。また気になる曲が出てきたら訳してみようと思います。
