Passion Pit - Where The Sky Hangs [和訳]

先日和訳した「Lifted Up (1985)」に続いて、Passion Pit（パッション・ピット）のニューアルバム『Kindred（キンドレッド）』から「Where The Sky Hangs」を訳してみました。子供の頃に行った遊園地とかで流れていたんじゃないか？って、そんな記憶を刷り込まされそうになるくらい、ノスタルジックで甘いナンバーです。

風が吹く方へ進んでいく

迷子になったけれど、見つけてくれた

空に手をかざして、地面にひざまづいたんだ

僕には全てを理解することが出来なくて

何て言って欲しいのか、なんて聞けなかった

また気が抜けなくなるような人に出会ったんだ

僕らの周りで渦巻いているのかな？

人々はそれを押しのけて進んでいったけど、僕には出来ないみたい

追記：これまた訳すのが難しくて、友達に聞いたりして直していきました。まず、「The pieces of it all that I could only hold in」と「I could never say what you'd want me to say」のcould。最初過去形？と思ったのですが、強調するためのものと理解しました。（コメントを頂きましてcouldは過去形だと解釈しなおしました。そう考えると、再び気になる人に出会って葛藤している主人公の心情がより分かった気がします。）あと、「I get caught up in your heart strings, way up where all of the sky hangs.」の部分はネットで最初歌詞検索した時二つの文に分かれて載っていたのでよく分からなかったのですが、CDの歌詞カードを見ると、このようにカンマで繋がっていたので考え直しました。なんとなくイメージは理解したつもりですが、日本語にするのが難しい。。。「the wires crossed」の部分は直訳では「混線する」という意味ですが、「誤解が生じる」という意味で日本語にしました。
